By the time I was twelve years old I'd had eight different addresses.
I'm a lot less nomadic these days.
These are my adventures in the unlikely condition called home.

Perfect Sunday
Today it was warm and sunny enough to blast some Stevie Wonder and plant this . . .
So afterwards I stopped this man . . .
And ended up with this magically delicious mango paleta.
All annuals today: impatiens, begonias, and some other stuff I picked for looks and neglected to check the names. Same goes for that beast of a perennial in front of the tree (I love it so!): it's one of the usual suspects among Chicago perennials -- small pink, bell-like flowers. Someone? Anyone? Can you help with my horticultural amnesia?

you look so pretty! and the tree is sweet!
Perennial with pink flowers - It's a Bleeding Heart (Dicentra spectabilis). I love them too.
Bleeding heart: that's the one!
In honor of my George McGovern loving parents and the legacy they passed onto me.
